Camp Glow exists to spark creativity in God's children of all generations as we disciple them to Go Love Others Well. The Wagoner's dream first began years ago as a whisper... a simple drawing of cabins and buildings that Lauren had sketched and journaled with God about, tucking it away until the dream could be stepped into.

But long before that dream, Tony and Lauren met through a mission's trip to Guatemala. Working with the Guatemalan summer camp team, a fire was ignited in both of them to share the hope of Jesus with people outside of a church building. They and their five children spent years pastoring, teaching and using the creative arts as a tool to teach others the beauty of taking love into every space you go in the world. When the Wagoners finally collided with the Drapers of Glow Mission in 2023, they were able to share with them that dream... one month later Camp Glow was formed and the sketch from years before turned into a reality.

Camp Glow has been a space that has impacted thousands of people over the years. This 33 acres began as a Girl Scout camp in the 1940s and has grown into a missional community where families, churches and ministries come from all over to experience the love of God. For generations this land on Camp Julia Road has been a light to the community.

We at Camp Glow are one part of many on the Glow Mission team, a nonprofit with a heart to “Go Love Others Well... your family, your neighbor, your world!" The Drapers began The Glow Mission in 2017, first launching heart projects all over Ukraine. That mission has now expanded to several missionaries and countries around the world.

Mission of the Glow Mission: To Go Love Others Well, igniting lives and launching destinies to see the ones we serve also ignited and effectively launched in their destiny to GLOW as well.

Vision of the Glow Mission: To set individual hearts ablaze with a fresh passion to personally “Go Love Others Well.” To mobilize teams of people, creatively using their skills, talents and resources to meet the physical and spiritual needs of others all over the world…

Tony and Lauren wagoner

Tony and Lauren Wagoner are two people who love Jesus heart and soul and long to see His name spread to every corner of the world. They are parents to 5 kiddos who really love and value family. They would love nothing more than to see families on mission together, with revival starting in the home. God took their past years of pastoring, teaching and photography and combined them together to form their joy of discipling in creative ways. Tony is a spur of the minute adventure seeker, ready to chase his kiddos around the beach or dive into the next good book. You will most likely find Lauren either dancing big with her family in worship or having long morning snuggles. They love long talks around the family table and hearing the stories of anyone willing to pass them on. Their children never hesitate to give giant hugs and sing loudly around the campfire. We hope you will come sit around our family table with us soon!

MARTHA PELL

ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR

There is a saying at camp that "nothing would get done without Martha" and oh is it true. Martha is a gift to the land and everyone who steps on it. She is a gifted teacher who ministers to children with patience and love. She keeps us all organized and on track with the day to day tasks of The Glow Mission and Camp Glow, while using her gift of hospitality to make camp full of warmth. Some days you may find her with a watercolor brush in hand or posting new plants and animals to her National Geographic app. Every day you spend with Martha marks you with intentionality. She sees and ministers tenderly to all people she comes in contact with.

LUCAS PENLEY

CARETAKER AND TEACHER

Lucas Penley is one of our valued teachers as well as a caretaker of the land alongside Tony. He tends to our campers and the land with so much love. He is also one of the members of the Penley Five! If they are not exploring a new bookstore or coffee shop, you can catch them having a living room dance party or taking a trip to the mountains! They carry a missional heart rooted in the belief that every person is created with inherent worth, and they long to see others experience freedom, belonging, and healing! They long to cultivate authentic community—where no one walks alone, where everyone is uniquely embraced, and where every person can discover their identity in Christ!

CAMP CREATIVES

Our amazing teachers are such a big part of what we do with our Camp Glow classes. These creatives from different communities use their giftings to inspire our younger generations of learners... and they do it with excitement every week. Painters, photographers, potters, science teachers, journalists, writers, theater teachers... so many brilliant minds come together every semester. Dar and andrew draper

The Glow Mission founders

Dar and Andrew Draper have a deep desire to see the children of the world recognize their worth and love through Jesus. They are the parents of 5 amazing kids. They ministered to children for years through pastoring and creative drama. They are encouragers who love to equip generations to walk in their giftings. Dar is an author and lover of Magical Markers, voice memos and long meetings. You can find Andrew (aka "husband") either hunting or tending to places and people with intentionality. You will never leave their presence without feeling deeply loved and having a tummy ache from laughter.
